My daughter Emma is playing Hermia in her schools version of Shakespeares "A Midsummernights Dream" and I was asked to make a cake to use in the show.
Originally I was going to make Martha Stewarts ruffle cake {pictured below} but ran out of icing and was worried the ruffles might drop off during the performance so came up with this cake instead! This is my third layer cake and I must say I think I'm getting better with practice! Now I just have to improve my photography skills.
